The Junior League of Charleston Inc. has announced projects with 13 community partners for the upcoming 2017-2018 fiscal year. The projects will be awarded $25,000 in community project assistance and over 120 volunteers to participate. The announcement was made in February during a General Membership Meeting.
“This year’s community projects represent continuing and new partnerships throughout the Charleston area. These partners are serving the community in a variety of ways and we are excited that our funds and volunteers will work alongside these organizations to address hunger and homelessness in the Charleston Area,” Leslie Skinner, CPD Chair
This year’s recipients include Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, East Cooper Habitat for Humanity, Charleston Habitat for Humanity, Lowcountry Food Bank Backpack Buddies, Florence Crittenton, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Tricounty Family Ministries, Midland Park Community Ministries, Loving America Street, Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, MUSC Children’s Hospital, Operation Home, Junior Achievement.
