The Junior League of Charleston (JLC) announces the 2019 Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI), a week-long advocacy initiative using the iconic “little black dress” to raise awareness of the less fortunate.  The 4thannual JLC campaign will take place during the week of March 11-15 to encourage conversation and raise funds supporting the JLC mission to empower women and address the effects of poverty in the Charleston community.  The JLC will host events between now and March 15 as part of the Initiative.

All funds collected support the JLC’s mission and several local nonprofit community partners, https://www.jlcharleston.org/community/partnerships/.  In addition to supporting your favorite LBDI member, you can also support the cause by attending one or more of these events throughout the Charleston area over the next few weeks:

Thursday, March 7 from 5-8 p.m.
