CAUSE Magazine

Background:

CAUSE  is the periodic magazine of the Junior League of Charleston, Inc., and is published three-four times each year.  CAUSE highlights the region's extraordinary nonprofit community.  The editorial content focuses on needs in the community and the people and organizations who work to meet those needs. It is a resource for raising awareness, for much deserved accolades and for ways the community can get involved. 

Editorial Opportunities:

Each issue features regular departments:

CAUSE for Celebration- a photo essay of charitable fund-raising events, and volunteers at work.  Submission requirements:  digital photography in .jpeg or .tif format, a minimum of 300 dpi.  All photos must be captioned with the name of the event, sponsoring organization, date of the event, sponsoring organization, date of the event, a description of the activity and the names of those featured in the picture when applicable.

Catalyst - a profile of an organization greatly impacting the community
Goodwill - a corporate profile of a business substantially supporting a community need
Motivated - a profile of the volunteers who "make it happen"
Pay It Forward - a profile of one of our community's non-profit agencies, what they do, how to get involved and what they need
Groundwork - training and tips for volunteer service
Engage - a calendar of upcoming events for the quarter

Distribution:

5,000 total copies will be printed each issue.  1,100 will be mailed directly to Junior League members.  3,600 will be mailed to the area's largest charitable contributors, local elected officials, and targeted business and community leaders.  Mailing ensures that the editorial and advertising messages in CAUSE reaches this valuable audience. Copies are also available at the Junior League office and select locations around the community.

  • For ad sales commitments & ad artwork - July 23, 2010 for the August 2010 issue and October 1, 2010 for the November 2010 issue
